Laura Cole has been with BiblioTech since the very beginning, or 2012. She is responsible for the development and overall operations of BiblioTech. Laura enjoys running, reading, cooking, bad jokes and her family.
Romeo Rosales, Jr. joined the BiblioTech team in 2018 as the Collections and Acquisitions Librarian. He is responsible for the selection and curation of digital content for all age groups, and is excited at the opportunity to impact lives through literacy. Before coming to BiblioTech, Romeo gained much of his experience in librarianship at public libraries in San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley. In his spare time he enjoys reading, spending time with his family and writing. Romeo is also a published author and contributor for Book Riot and Public Libraries Online.
Alena Engstrom joined the BiblioTech team in 2018 as the Youth Services Librarian. Alena works with patrons of all ages at each BiblioTech branch and develops creative and inspiring programs for youth and teens. She also works on youth collection development and BiblioTech EDU – our school partnership initiative. In her free time, Alena enjoys rock climbing, gardening, exploring the outdoors, and (of course) reading!
Hayley Milks is responsible for office reporting and performing general administrative/clerical tasks. She maintains office files, in addition to timekeeping and human resources for BiblioTech staff. She prepares complex reports and statistics regarding accounting and personnel. She assists with budget preparation and performs bookkeeping and purchasing for the department. Hayley also develops and maintains office administration procedures.
Elizabeth McArthur joined the BiblioTech team in 2017. She is currently the Digital Equity and Strategic Technologies librarian and spends time at all of the BiblioTech branches, where she enjoys interacting with patrons. She also works on community partnerships and the BiblioTech website. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys reading, running and exploring San Antonio.
