Alfie Barcenez is currently enrolled as a senior at Harlandale High School, where he focuses his attention towards academics, as well as the performing arts of choir and theater. After graduating high school, Alfie intends to study philosophy and theater arts while in college. He is the current president of the Harlandale Choir, and sings with the Varsity Choir. Alfie is also involved in other extracurricular activities and clubs, such as Boy With A Ball, the San Antonio Youth Chorale, Creative Outlets Club, Peer Tutoring, and Book Club. Outside of school, Alfie spends his time indulging in all types of media, broadening his perception of the world with books, comics, movies, music and television shows or by creating his own works of art. Alfie values honesty, teamwork and imagination above all else and strives to create an environment of comradeship by acknowledging widely ranging perspectives and strives to understand each view. He believes that positive change is always an option; that where negativity lays heavy there will always be innovation to shine ahead and light the way. Alfie is incredibly excited and honored to be part of the BiblioTech Student Advisory Council, and cannot wait to serve his term.
