A flair for leadership has been demonstrated by Audrie Torres. She participates in several community and STEM-based groups as an educator, mentor, team player, and leader. She aspires to pursue a career in the medical industry and works in cancer research at UT Health in order to reach her objective, as well as volunteering at the Methodist hospital oncology department. She has developed projects regarding ethics in healthcare and other stem-related disciplines that have won awards. As a former member of the San Antonio District 3 Youth Council, Audrie has developed into a significant contributor to the community. She is a co-founder of a state-recognized nonprofit that promotes diabetes education for youth from low-income backgrounds. Audrie Torres is a proud dual-credit student at Texas A&M University and CAST Medical High School. In her free time, she enjoys participating in a mariachi band, ballet folklorico, and, of course, reading.  Her favorite genres are nonfiction and traditional literature.
