Introducing: Libros & Libations
We are excited to launch a new BiblioTech book club: Libros & Libations! This 21-and-up book club will meet once a month in some of the amazing breweries and bars around San Antonio. We'll discuss different books, from different genres, each month, but also just have some fun socializing over an ice-cold beverage.
Our first Libros & Libations meet up will be held on Wednesday, August 28 at 5:30pm at Busted Sandal Brewing.
We are reading Up Jumped the Devil: The Real Life of Robert Johnson by Bruce Conforth & Gayle Dean Wardlow. This biography of the famous blues musician is full of amazingly well-researched details of Robert Johnson's life playing music all over the southern United States, including a "historic 1936 recording session in Texas," to quote to the Kirkus Review of the book.
