Alyssa is the Lead Technical Center Assistant at BiblioTech South. She joined our team in the Fall of 2018. She is currently in charge of South's Story Time program. She enjoys spending time with her significant other and her fur babies.
Hi, my name is Amado Lazaro! I moved up to San Antonio a little over four years ago but before I did I was fortunate enough to work for a public library. Ever since then I knew I wanted to find employment in the same enviroment; and here I am! I enjoy excersising, playing video games, hiking and working on cars. I worked for BiblioTech’s East branch for about 6 months before being able to take on the role of Office Assistant IV.
Braulia Carrillo joined BiblioTech June 2021 as Programming Librarian. She looks forward to meeting the community and developing programs that are both educational and exciting. As a retired public-school administrator and most recently a children’s librarian she understands the importance of literacy especially for those who are underserved. Literacy has been her passion throughout her life. She remembers reading the same book over and over as a child because that was her only book. The exciting thing about BiblioTech is that because it has a digital platform anyone can have access to thousands of books and other resources. Knowledge is Power! San Antonio has been home for her, her husband and daughter. She enjoys, camping, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Carlos Sauceda heads the Outreach team, which engages in community events to help educate and inform the public regarding BiblioTech resources and programming. Carlos also creates and maintains partnerships between BiblioTech and local businesses, as well as non-profit agencies, in order to create awareness of the library resources through collaborative efforts to showcase both agencies. Carlos joined BiblioTech in August 2014.
Dulcie is a Lead Technical Center Assistant at BiblioTech East. She has a Master's degree in Environmental Science from UTSA and loves creating science-based programs for young patrons. Dulcie enjoys working alongside her co workers to assist patrons of Bexar County. During her free time, Dulcie enjoys reading, painting, listening to music, and being outdoors.
Galileo Gonzalez is the Outreach Lead at BiblioTech. He has been a part of BiblioTech since 2017, starting his career at BiblioTech South. Outside of his duties at Outreach, Gonzalez is an artist who has exhibited nationally and designs music-related art for local bands and independent record labels.
Hayley Goldsmith is the Collections and Acquisitions Librarian as of fall 2021. She joined BiblioTech in 2017, and supported the organization behind the scenes in administration while in graduate school. In 2020 she completed her master’s degree in Library Science at TWU, and has undergraduate degrees in Women’s Studies and Psychology. Hayley loves spending time with her family, trying new restaurants, practicing yoga, and she is an avid reader, enjoying fantasy and horror.
Israel Rendon joined the BiblioTech in 2018. He is currently the Assistant Branch Manager at BiblioTech West where he enjoys assisting and helping patrons with their everyday needs. Israel has his Bachelor’s degree in psychology from UTSA and is pursuing his Masters in Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake. In his spare time, Israel enjoys running, eating, and collecting and viewing art work!
Izmael Delgado has been a part of BiblioTech since January 2023. While reserved by nature, he is approachable and enjoys helping others. At EDU, Izmael shares his expertise in technology and design with staff, patrons, and students. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Communication Design and is passionate about simplifying complex concepts to make them more accessible and easier to understand.
Outside of work, Izmael enjoys strategy games, scary stories, anime, exercise, and collecting. He values quality time with family, friends, and colleagues, often finding himself involved in their shenanigans and lending a hand wherever needed. Overall rating: 8.9 out of 10 — because, after all, nobody is perfect.
Jassiel started working at BiblioTech South in early 2015. In May 2018, he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art. He then began working for BiblioTech's Outreach team in 2019 where he created social media posts and website GIFs. Jassiel was then promoted to the position of Remote Operations Lead in 2023. On his off time, he likes to workout, eat good food, create music &animations, take photos, and play video games.
