Do you know about Bright by Text? It's a free text messaging service for parents, and other child caregivers, launched by KLRN, our local Public Broadcasting Station here in San Antonio.
This amazing, free program sends tips and resources promoting child development right to your cell phone. These messages are targeted to your child's age and they focus on children from birth to 5 years old. The information shared is comprised of research-based content from Bright by Three and other trusted providers, such as PBS KIDS, PBS Parents, Vroom, The Fred Rogers Company and Sesame Workshop.
Bright by Text is for anyone who cares for and loves a child: parents, parents-to-be, grandparents, babysitters, aunties, uncles, neighbors, friends, teachers, and more.
To opt-in, you can text KLRN to 274448, or sign up here. Bright by Text only needs your child’s birth date and zip code. This is so that you can get messages timed to your child's exact age, as well as information about local events and resources. Bright by Text is completely free, but message and data rates may apply, and your information will not be shared with other companies.
