Today we're going to talk about some of our Active Learning Resources. These can help you in your career or personal life, and offer a variety of different courses in several formats. Many of you may already be using Lynda.com, which allows you to gain new skills and then display badges from your completed courses on your LinkedIn profile, if you would like. But we also offer other resources to help you gain new skills.

  • Mango Languages is an award-winning language learning platform. Using a variety of lessons and techniques, as well as frequent review, you can learn a new language or brush up on a language you already know. This is an amazing resource, San Antonio! Use the autoplay feature to learn Spanish, French or Japanese on your commute. There are over 70 languages to chose from!
  • Universal Class offers over courses covering 30 subject areas, including personal finance, pet care, career training, health and GED preparation, with professional instructors who provide grading and feedback to track your learning progress.
  • Treehouse is an exciting resource for anyone interested in learning anything about IT. With topics covering everything from basic digital literacy to advanced Javascript, this resource has something for everyone and features extremely comprehensive videos and quizzes, to ensure all that new knowledge is sticking with you.

In addition to these resources, the BiblioTech Active Learning page features links to our scholarly databases, as well as our genealogy resources. BiblioTech Pubic Library brings you all kinds of great knowledge, all for free! Check out a new resource today, and let us know what you think!
