International Games Week

Article Date
October 28, 2019

International Games Week begins Monday, November 4 at all BiblioTech branches!

International Games Week is a week-long gaming celebration that connects public libraries and communities with the educational, recreational, and social value of board games as well as video games! Libraries, as a free public space, are the perfect setting for gathering and gaming, and libraries across the globe will be celebrating this event by offering free gaming to the public. Check out the Games in Libraries website to learn more.

International Games Week officially runs from November 3-9, 2019. However, BiblioTech will offer free gaming after school at each branch from Monday, November 4 to Friday, November 8. We will have Battleship, Chess, Sequence, Uno, video games, and more! Patrons can also feel free to bring their own board games to BiblioTech.

If you can't wait to get your game on, check out Gaming: From Atari to Xbox, Board Game Tournament, and learn about the famous builder of board games, Milton Bradley, in Board Game Builder - all available for free checkout on Hoopla with your BiblioTech library card. Not a BiblioTech patron yet? No worries, you can register online if you are a Bexar County resident.

Happy Gaming!
