Alyssa is the Lead Technical Center Assistant at BiblioTech South. She joined our team in the Fall of 2018. She is currently in charge of South's Story Time program. She enjoys spending time with her significant other and her fur babies.
Dulcie is a Lead Technical Center Assistant at BiblioTech East. She has a Master's degree in Environmental Science from UTSA and loves creating science-based programs for young patrons. Dulcie enjoys working alongside her co workers to assist patrons of Bexar County. During her free time, Dulcie enjoys reading, painting, listening to music, and being outdoors.
Israel Rendon joined the BiblioTech in 2018. He is currently the Assistant Branch Manager at BiblioTech West where he enjoys assisting and helping patrons with their everyday needs. Israel has his Bachelor’s degree in psychology from UTSA and is pursuing his Masters in Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake. In his spare time, Israel enjoys running, eating, and collecting and viewing art work!
Jesse Garcia has been with BiblioTech since the summer of 2013. In his current position as Branch Manager of BiblioTech West, he oversees staff operations, program development, inventory, and patron experience. He enjoys working for the library because he gets an opportunity to strengthen the community through technology and literacy. Jesse's interests include video games, music, and his dog, Ted.
Malena Martinez is the branch manager for BiblioTech’s Eastside branch. A San Antonio native, Malena also grew up on the city’s Westside and graduated from Lanier High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. She has worked for BiblioTech since the first branch opened in the fall of 2013. She is proud to serve the community in which she was raised and enjoys helping patrons access the tools and resources they need to succeed.
Olivia Escovedo is the branch manager for BiblioTech’s EDU branch. She looks forward to working with teachers, students, and the community in this hybrid environment. As a former ESL teacher and children’s librarian, she likes working with patrons of all ages and helping them with their library needs. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in bilingual education and moved to San Antonio to start her teaching career. After a few years in education, she switched careers and went to earn her library degree from Texas Woman’s University. San Antonio has been her and her husband’s home for eight years. She enjoys going out for coffee, traveling, cooking, watching old movies, and spending time with her husband and cat.
Rebecca joined BiblioTech in 2021 and is currently one of the Lead Technical Center Assistants at BiblioTech EDU. She is in the process of getting her masters in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University, but when she is not doing school work she likes to relax by spending time with her family or playing video games.
