Harry Potter, the famous "Boy Who Lived" in J.K. Rowling's best-selling Harry Potter Series, celebrates his birthday on July 31 and BiblioTech is celebrating Harry Potter all week! We will have a variety of events at our BiblioTech branches, including a weeklong series of events being held at BiblioTech South.
Yesterday, attendees at the BiblioTech South events got Hogwarts acceptance letters delievered via balloon owl, and then visited Diagon Alley to purchase (and decorate) wands, buy spell books at Flourish and Blotts, and more. Eventually, our fine students made it to Hogwarts and were sorted into various houses. It was a very exciting day and you can see a video of all the festivities on our Facebook page.
The fun continues at BiblioTech South today, when students will be introduced to Quidditch and Howlers. Join us today and all week long for exciting adventures in Harry Potter Land. Throughout the week, we will watch all 8 films and have fun activities for the whole family.
The celebration at BiblioTech West started on Sunday with a movie screening and magical craft. The fun continues at BiblioTech West on Wednesday, July 31 at 4pm. We'll be screening another a Harry Potter movie, making wands and getting sorted into Hogwarts houses. Come join us for this no-Muggles-allowed event!
